Meet Amanda (she/her)
Owner | Lead Officiant | Day-of Coordinator | Premarital Coach
A wedding ceremony is one of the most significant rituals people experience in their lives. But back when I was deciding the fate of my career path there wasn’t a job fair that included “wedding officiant”. Who knew that was a thing?!
I officiated my first wedding in 2015 when two dear friends asked me to perform their ceremony. I was terrified but they seemed to have trust in me…so I agreed. I had so much fun getting to know them on a deeper level and sharing their story with their loved ones. I thought it would be a one and done, however it seemed to catch fire and other friends began asking me to officiate their weddings. And then…something clicked.
“Maybe I can be a professional wedding officiant?” I never imagined Happily Ever Asheville would blossom into the what exists today. It’s so more than a job to me.
Since 2019, I’ve come to realize just how much I love the process of learning love stories and crafting a ceremony that honors each couple’s vision for their ceremony. I’m humbled that so many couples have trusted me to lead them through this threshold of their lives.
When I’m not officiating, I’m paddleboarding, hiking, chillin with my pup, Mona, or watching some cheesy RomCom.
I currently reside in Asheville and I don’t plan to leave anytime soon. I’m also a licensed clinical social worker with a practice focused on supporting individuals and couples in developing healthy and happy relationships.
